For companies that produce large numbers of the exact product, automated manufacturing is typically used, but for companies that produce smaller quantities of the same item or specialize in prototypes, it’s better and money-wise to put together the products by hand.

There are three kinds for electronics companies: high volume with low volumes, moderate volumes, and large volume. The companies that create a tiny quantity of goods each year, like less than 100 units per year, are considered low volume. This is prototyping. Medium-volume companies make upwards of 10,000 items every year. High volume companies manufacture more than 10,000 units each year.
